First Aid & Workplace Training

First Aid and Workplace Training

Getting a whole team through first aid usually means sending people out in ones and twos, losing them for a day and still ending up with certificates that expire at different times.

Pathvia can run the training at your workplace instead, scheduled around the roster, so the team is trained together and the expiry dates line up.

Nationally recognised courses

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Group bookings for a whole team
  • Statement of Attainment issued on completion
  • Delivered at your workplace or a venue of your choice

Workplace training

  • Medication administration
  • Manual handling
  • Training built around a specific setting, including NDIS and disability support teams
  • Refresher and toolbox sessions
  • Induction training for new staff

How it runs

  • At a location that suits you
  • Scheduled around your roster
  • Whole team or individual places
  • Training records provided for your compliance file
  • Renewal reminders so certificates do not lapse

Pathvia trainers hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Nationally recognised units are delivered under partnership with a Registered Training Organisation, and the RTO issues the Statement of Attainment. HLTAID009 is a prerequisite unit within HLTAID011, so the two are normally delivered together. Workplace training such as medication administration and manual handling is delivered as non accredited training, built for the setting rather than assessed against a national unit.

Nationally recognised training is delivered under partnership with Healthcorp Pty Ltd (RTO 91222), who issue the Statement of Attainment.

FAQ

First Aid & Workplace Training questions

Do we get a nationally recognised certificate?

Yes. HLTAID011 and HLTAID009 are nationally recognised units of competency. Pathvia trainers deliver the training under partnership with a Registered Training Organisation, and the RTO issues the Statement of Attainment on successful completion.

How often does first aid training need to be renewed?

The model Code of Practice for first aid in the workplace recommends CPR is refreshed every 12 months and the first aid qualification renewed every three years. Your own policy, insurer or funding body may set a shorter interval.

Can you train our whole team at our site?

Yes. Training runs at a location of your choice and can be scheduled around a roster, including outside standard hours by arrangement.

Do you deliver medication administration and manual handling?

Yes, as workplace training rather than a nationally recognised unit. It is built around the setting it is being delivered into, including NDIS and disability support teams.

Are the trainers qualified?

Yes. Pathvia trainers hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. For nationally recognised units they deliver under partnership with a Registered Training Organisation, which is what allows the Statement of Attainment to be issued.

What if someone misses the day?

Tell us and we will work out whether they join the next group session or are picked up separately. Nobody should be left with a lapsed certificate because of one roster clash.
